Really lovely cottage, warm and cosy, would go there again, really enjoyed it Miss F, Manchester, Lancashire 30 March 2011
This cottage is beautiful, very clean and cosy, beautiful location and fabulous owners. I would highly recommend this cottage and location as a great base to go out and explore the area. A fabulous place to re-charge your batteries. Very homely, everything we needed and more and the washing machine was a godsend due to the fact that we took our little doggy on holiday for the first time and he was travel sick, he chased the ducks at Windermere and ran into the lake in his coat! We were able to wash his coat and blankets so the washing machine was invaluable and a very welcome surprise. We will definitely go back here in a heartbeat. I would recommend Rose cottages, nice and clean, in lovely position to tour Lakes. A great place for a base. Mr S, Liverpool, Merseyside 22 December 2010
"Swallows Nest" is a very cosy cottage which is well equipped and very wheelchair friendly. Set in a beautiful location with easy access to Lakes, Pennines, Yorkshire Dales etc. Cottage owners are very friendly and helpful. We loved it and would highly recommend it for anyone wanting a peacefull holiday in the countryside. Mrs D, London, London 01 August 2010
It was a lovely cosy property in a peaceful location within easy reach of the Lakes and the Dales. As a wheelchair user I found the layout gave me easy access to all areas - they even provided a special shower chair. The owner was very helpful when needed but didn't intrude at other times. It was the perfect way to celebrate my birthday. Mrs W, Leeds, West Yorkshire 31 March 2010
Excellent cottage with all the facilities available for the elderly/disabled. Mrs G, SWINDON 28 September 2009
Location was perfect for the Lake District and the North Pennines National Park. Tucked away and peaceful but only two minutes to a main road. Cottage delightful everything provided. Mr B, Maidstone, Kent 20 September 2008
Swallow's Nest is definitely VERY accessible e.g shower chair and walk in shower and the owners were extremely kind and helpful. Since it is often not easy for wheelchair users to find the right place, I can enthusiastically recommend this place! Mrs H, Leeds, West Yorkshire 25 August 2006
